Where do we start learning Arabic calligraphy?
It’s one of the questions I get the most. My answer, in short, is worksheets, because they are one of the easiest and fastest ways to learn any font. I created these worksheets in PDF format that you can print at home on a regular desktop printer.
This method of training is the same that I personally used to learn most of the Arabic calligraphy in Procreate app, and it is, in my opinion, very effective, but I want to clarify, this method is the easiest and fastest to enter the world of calligraphy and improve your handwriting quickly, but it will not necessarily teach you the measurements and rules in the smallest details, if you want to become a professional calligrapher, you can start with worksheets and then follow up with lessons and corrections with a professional calligrapher. My only goal is to help you start learning calligraphy and improve your handwriting in ways that are easy and accessible to everyone.
The principle of these exercises is simple, and it is to exercise your hand on the method of drawing letters repeatedly. This leads by continuous training to master writing letters and words correctly and according to the rules. If you are new to the world of calligraphy, I advise you to practice on each page at least 10 times before moving on to the next step, which is writing the words.
